I am Hetty East a qualified teacher with 14 years experience of working in secondary schools.  I am now teaching sewing and tutoring A-Level and GCSE students virtually online via Zoom.

Pittville school:

I worked as the subject lead in Textiles, I introduced Textiles as a new subject to the school and created a successful and inspirational course.

During my time at Pittville School, I taught Design & Technology: Textiles, Design & Technology: Resistant Materials and Art & Design: Textiles. 

I was also able to design a textiles workshop classroom that is custom-made to be used for teaching textiles and it is one of the best classrooms in the school.

Cheltenham College:

I started working at Cheltenham College as a Textiles Technician which allowed me to gain a huge array of practical textiles knowledge, I then had the opportunity to take on my own class and pursue a PGCE.

During my time at Cheltenham College, I taught Design & Technology: Textiles, Design & Technology: Fashion & Textiles, Design & Technology: Resistant Materials and Keystage 2 and 3 Design & Technology.
